THE STATE OF HUNGER IN UGANDA

Pervasive drought, a spike in global food prices, and lingering socioeconomic impacts of COVID-19 are driving rising food insecurity in Uganda. Uganda is the largest refugee-hosting country in Africa. Large numbers of displaced people puts pressure on underfunded humanitarian programs.

LET'S TAKE ACTION

Together, we can end hunger. Join our fight annually to save lives, empower communities, and bring positive change to millions of children and families around the nation.

HOW WE'RE HELPING IN UGANDA

In Uganda, we work in over 100 districts through our programs to prevent hunger and malnutrition for young children, pregnant women, and new mothers. Our teams educate communities on how to lead healthy lifestyles, work with farmers to grow new crops and improve their yields, and increase access to water, sanitation, and hygiene.

BROWSE OUR FLAGSHIP PROJECTS

Over the years the Alliance has grown from the three institutions to more than 60 national, international and local organizations. We work with individuals in four regional food security networks in Central, Western (Rwenzori inclusive) and Eastern Uganda.
