We work in four regional food security networks

Over the years the Alliance has grown from the three institutions to more than 60 national, international and local organizations. We work with individuals in four regional food security networks in Central, Western (Rwenzori inclusive) and Eastern Uganda.

Flagship Projects

We work with individuals in four regional food security networks in Central, Western (Rwenzori inclusive) and Eastern Uganda. From food and nutrition, to education, to livelihoods, Food Rights Alliance supports membership operations that address communities’ most critical needs. Find out how we are helping.

Women Empowerment Opposed to Exclusion

Food Rights Alliance is conscious of the fact that despite the enormous contribution of rural women to the agricultural sector and their contribution to food production and security, they have not been given due recognition in economic development.

Efficient Agricultural Extensions Finance

With support from Trust Africa, Food Rights Alliance has been part of the policy reforms in agricultural extension (AE) delivery in Uganda since 2012. A process that started by creating awareness of extension in the public domain and eventually resulted in policy and institutional reforms and eventually legal reforms.

Water and Natural Resource Rights

Food Rights Alliance with financial support from Trocaire is implementing a project that aims to build an integrated water and land resource system for improved food security and livelihoods in Uganda.

Securing Land and Seed Rights in Uganda

Food Rights Alliance with financial support from OXFAM and in partnership with a number of civil society organisations have for the last seven years implemented the Securing seed and land rights project to realise the right to food in Uganda.
